Founded in 1891, Limerick Golf Club stands among the oldest and most prestigious golf clubs in Ireland. Located just minutes from Limerick City and within easy reach of Adare Manor Resort and Shannon Airport, the club enjoys a superb 18-hole championship parkland course, renowned for its mature trees, strategic bunkering and immaculate conditioning. 

Over the years, the course has benefited from the expertise of some of golf’s most respected designers, including the legendary Dr. Alister MacKenzie (famed for Augusta National), whose influence adds both character and challenge to the layout.

Limerick Golf Club boasts an outstanding competitive pedigree, with numerous provincial and national titles to its name. In 1980, it proudly became the first Irish golf club to win the European Club Championship, cementing its reputation on the international stage. The club also gained worldwide recognition as the three-time host of the J.P. McManus Invitational Pro-Am, welcoming many of the world’s greatest golfers and raising millions for charitable causes.

Ballyneety Golf Club

This championship golf course is set on 183 acres of rolling Irish countryside. Stroll up the gentle slopes of the fourth fairway and be rewarded by stunning views of Limerick City and County and even the Clare Hills. This 18 Hole championship golf course has sand-based greens and tees all built to USGA standards. Co-designed by 2014 Ryder Cup Vice-Captain, Des Smyth and Irish Amateur International, Declan Branigan, the course opened for play in 1994.

Chosen as the host venue of the 2027 Junior Ryder Cup and named Great Britain & Ireland Golf Course of the Year for 2025 by The Golf Course Awards.

Castletroy Golf Club

Founded in 1937, Castletroy Golf Club enjoys a well-deserved reputation for its charming tree-lined golf course, excellent facilities, and traditional Limerick hospitality

Castletroy Golf Club has undergone a major transformation over the past number of years, under the careful supervision of Eddie Connaughton, Course Architect . The course, reopened in May 2006, has been completely redesigned with eighteen tee box and green complexes constructed to USGA specifications as well as the introduction of fairway bunkering and water features throughout the course. Set in mature parkland the course will test golfers of all ability. The gentle rolling of the front nine contrasts with the stern test that awaits many on the back nine. The par 3 11th hole played over water will test the nerve of most golfers while the 14th and 17th holes offer panoramic views over the entire golf course. The 16th hole with its fairway bunkering and elevated green will require complete concentration from tee to green.
